IMU participated in the 60th edition of Nor-Shipping 2025 in Oslo, Norway, marking a significant milestone as India was officially represented for the first time through a dedicated pavilion by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. IMU joined global maritime stakeholders to explore innovation, sustainability, and academic collaboration. During the event, IMU attended technical seminars on AI in maritime, IMO regulations, carbon capture, and ship recycling; interacted with leading technology providers such as NAVTOR, Zenith Shipping (Robotics), Cavotec, and the Korean Autonomous Ship Initiative; and engaged with academic partners including the World Maritime University (WMU), University of the Arctic (UArctic), and ALBA Graduate Business School. IMU also took part in India @ Nor-Shipping sessions alongside Hon’ble Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, focusing on port transformation, green energy, circular economy, and skill development. From climate action and decarbonization to talent retention and regulatory innovation, Nor-Shipping 2025 offered valuable insights into the future of global shipping, and IMU is proud to represent Indian maritime academia on the international stage.
