Dr. K. M. Pattanaik from the Indian Maritime University (IMU), Kolkata Campus, has been awarded the Best Paper Award at the AMET Global Maritime Summit (AGMS) 2025, held on 2nd July 2025. The summit was organized by the Dr. J. Ramachandran Maritime Foundation, AMET, Chennai, and brought together maritime scholars, educators, and industry leaders from around the world. Dr. Pattanaik's paper, titled “Anchoring Inclusivity with Choices and Femininity in Indian Marine Engineering Education: Challenges and Prospects”, was recognized for its scholarly depth and timely focus on promoting gender inclusivity and equitable representation within India's marine engineering education system.
