On 9th October 2025, IMU Kochi Campus hosted an insightful guest lecture on the theme “Development of National Waterways in India.” The session was delivered by Shri A. Selvakumar, Regional Director (Kerala), Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), and was attended by faculty, staff, and enthusiastic students. Key Discussion Points: Importance of inland waterways as sustainable transportation, Reducing logistics costs & carbon emissions, IWAI’s key initiatives in modernizing terminals & promoting multimodal connectivity The session ended with an engaging Q&A, where students explored real-world applications and policy insights in the maritime and logistics sectors.
