The Indian Maritime University proudly took part in the World Maritime Day 2025 celebrations and the Global Ports & Shipping Summit held at Taj Santacruz, Mumbai, hosted by ET Infra. This year’s theme: “Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Responsibility”. At the summit, held under the larger vision of “Anchoring Indian Maritime Vision”, Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal outlined India's roadmap to becoming a global maritime powerhouse by 2047. IMU actively contributed to key discussions on: Maritime skilling & education, Shipbuilding innovation, Ocean sustainability & research, Industry–Academia collaboration.
